About TTTNY 2024

sprint_4_2020

Race To The Top of HK From Another Direction

Starting from 2013, To The Top of Hong Kong Challenge has been bringing participants to run from the southwest-facing Anglers' Beach, at the foot of Tai Mo Shan, to the highest peak in Hong Kong. In its eleventh year, we have broken the mold and introduced a series of To The Top races.

One of these races is the New Year's Day 30km race. It will start from another direction, the eastern side of Tai Mo Shan in Shek Mun, Shatin. Participants will ascend through Cove Hill (Kau To Shan), Grassy HIll, and Lead Mine Pass to reach the summit of Tai Mo Shan. The race will then continue along the Lung Mun Country Trail and descend to the finish line at the Shing Mun Reservoir Main Dam.

There is also a 10km race on New Year's Day. In line with the tradition of Kids Race in TTTHK, this race features Kids categories and Youth categories, in addition to the Open and Master categories. The route starts at the Shing Mun Reservoir Main Dam, descends to Tai Wai via Lower Shing Mun Reservoir, ascends to the top of Needle Hill from the banks of Shing Mun River, and finally descends to the finish line at the Shing Mun Reservoir Main Dam.

About TTTNY 2024

10th Anniversary - Come Back Stronger!

In 2013, Salomon To The Top of Hong Kong started. Every year, we run from the sea level to the top of Hong Kong. Until 2020, the race was suspended one year and another. We tried finding race route outside country park, and even struggled to simply turn the race into a virtual run.

Finally, we are back at our 10th anniversary in 2023. Not only To The Top of Hong Kong is back, To The Top of Lantau is introduced as the Prologue race, follow by a chasing start for the Final, To The Top of Hong Kong.

The two 50KM races will be in Tai Lam, Tai Mo Shan and Lantau respectively. Both routes are of high runnability with little climb in the first half, whereas the second half will be the challenging part with more ups and downs. There is also a shorter-distance option for both races. You can run either race to get a single stage ranking.
